Ballet Arizona opens spring lecture series with Phoenix engagement

Join Ballet Arizona at local libraries starting in January to learn more about ballet.

Topics will range from the history of ballet, notable figures, the schools of thinking, and more.

The spring lecture series opens with “Changemakers: Dancers Who Led Diversity in Ballet,” which starts at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 at Juniper Library, 1825 W. Union Hills Drive, in Phoenix. Learn about the stories of the resilient dancers, such as Maria Tallchief and Arthur Mitchell, who paved the way for diversity in the world of dance.
