Audiences ready for “Juan Gabriel” to open Ballet Arizona’s new season later this month can get a sneak peek ahead of time.

Guests are invited to an intimate rehearsal featuring choreographer Ib Andersen and the production’s dancers at a Studio Spotlight event inside Ballet Arizona’s Dorrance Theatre. Get a behind-the-scenes look including a Q&A discussion at the one-hour gathering.

The event starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13 at Dorrance Theatre, 2835 E. Washington St., in Phoenix. Cost is $30.

“Juan Gabriel” opens the new season with a run from Oct. 26-29 at Symphony Hall, 75 N. 2nd St., in Phoenix.

During the run, the Oct. 27 performance will celebrate Pride Night at the Ballet. The Pride Night event the night of the show is free to anyone 21 years and older attending the Oct. 27 performance, which requires a ticket, and it starts at 6:30 p.m. All attendees must RSVP ahead of time.

The Ballet Arizona box office, also at 2835 E. Washington St., can be reached at 602-381-1096, and is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
