"...Joe Biden's regime has made a mockery of our justice system," the post read. Shameful and disgraceful."

Former TV news anchor Kari Lake —a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate — tweeted out #neversurrender with a link to contribute to Donald Trump and his presidential campaign.

In a statement, Lake called the jury’s verdict the “most egregious example of election interference and an outright mockery of the rule of law.”
“This conviction should be immediately reversed upon appeal, and this legal tyranny will be summarily rejected by the American people on Nov. 5,” wrote Lake, who lost the 2022 gubernatorial race and is running for U.S. Senate in 2024.
Trump is set to be sentenced on July 11, four days before the start of the Republican National Convention. The conviction does not disqualify him for running for office as the U.S. Constitution does not say anything regarding a felony conviction and holding federal office.
Republican Blake Masters, who ran unsuccessfully for Senate in 2022 and is running for the House this year, decried the jury’s verdict on X.com, the site formerly known as Twitter.
“This is a lawless travesty of justice. President Trump will win on appeal. And when he wins big in November, the task ahead is to repair our broken Soviet-style justice system,” Masters wrote.
Democrat Ruben Gallego, who may face off against Lake in the Senate race in November, wrote on X that the verdict was about “accountability.”
“I respect our justice system and the rule of law. The process played out, and we should always demand accountability from our elected leaders,” Gallego wrote.
Michelle Ugenti-Rita, a former Arizona state senator and current candidate for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, said the Democrats and the Biden administration have "weaponized our judicial system" following Thursday's verdict.
"I will do everything in my power as your next #MaricopaCounty Supervisor to stop the radical Democrats from doing the same to us here in Arizona."
Pinal County Supervisor Jeff Serdy, a Republican, said "preposterous" as his reaction to the verdict.
"Preposterous," Serdy said. "What exactly was the crime again?"
Republican Abe Hamadeh, who is running against Masters for a seat in Arizona's 8th Congressional District, called the conviction a "dark day for America" on a X post, where he also posted a fundraising link for Trump.
"The conviction of President Trump is a dark day for America," Hamadeh wrote. "It sets a dangerous precedent where political opponents are targeted and silenced through corrupt legal schemes. Judge Merchan, a corrupt and biased political operative, must be disbarred and prosecuted. We must rally behind President Trump, fight this injustice, and restore integrity to our legal and democratic institutions. In November, we take back our country."
Arizona State Sen. Wendy Rogers said on X @WendyRogersAZ: “Today marks a regrettable event in American history, as Democrats celebrated the conviction of the opposing party’s leader on charges based upon testimony of a disbarred, convicted felon. This highlights the ongoing weaponization of the justice system by the Biden Administration. The American people recognize this as a political maneuver rather than a legal one, and President Trump is expected to appeal the verdict. The courts must overturn this grave injustice!”
Arizona State Sen. Jake Hoffman said on X at @JakeHoffmanAZ: “‘This was a rigged trial.’ The corrupt judge did everything possible to rig this against President @realDonaldTrump. Congratulations, Democrats: You can never again call yourselves ‘defenders of democracy.’ You’ve officially transitioned to third world fascists & authoritarians.”
Arizona State Rep. Teresa Martinez said on X at @TMartinez4AZ: "Well this is crap! So unfair! "
