Scottsdale Society of Women Writers invited Brad Graber, experienced author and blogger, to speak at its monthly meeting on Aug. 31 at 6 p.m.
SSWW gives members access to events of interest, a format for exchanging ideas, an opportunity to network with other women writers and authors in camaraderie and support, and an alliance with professionals relating to writing, publishing and marketing, according to a press release.
August's speaker Brad Graber will present his talk “How to add Humor to your Author Toolkit” at the society’s monthly meeting. The society stated in the release that guests should RSVP now for the monthly Zoom meeting.

If you have a guest, notify Brooks, the host, in advance and have them contact her directly, the release stated. Guests may visit on two occasions, and then are asked to join as a full-time member.
Brooks also pays the Zoom call monthly, so there is no charge for members or their guests to attend. The release explained that attendees may consider purchasing a book from the speaker or a member as a gesture of payment.
Dues for the society are $50 annually. New members will receive a copy of the directory, and other benefits.
The society asks attendees be on time and check-in to Zoom by 5:50 pm, according to the release. This allows the host time to setup, and you time to chat with members and guests, the release stated. The meeting starts promptly at 6 p.m.
According to the release, Graber authors novels because he grew up in a family where no one listened to him, so he made up stories about them.
He’s the award-winning author of “The Intersect,” “After the Fall” and “What’s that Growing in my Sour Cream?” His latest novel, “Boca by Moonlight,” is the story of a widower coming to grips with his mortality and the complications of human relationships.
