Avondale will turn into a winter wonderland in December.

WinterFest goes from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Avondale Civic Center Amphitheater, 11465 W. Civic Center Drive. Look for a visit from Santa, an inflatable play zone, train rides, the annual tree lighting ceremony, crafts, an exhibitor’s alley, food trucks, and the premiere of the Avondazzle Holiday Light Display.

Entertainment includes the West Valley Youth Orchestra, dance performances from Heart & Sole and The Studance Lab, and special guests.

The Avondazzle Holiday Light Display will be up from 5:30 to 9:15 p.m. every night through Monday, Jan. 1.

The City Christmas Tree’s musical program and surrounding light display will be up throughout the holiday season, with a programmed show to display every 30 minutes.
