Safely dispose of unwanted personal paperwork at an upcoming free shredding event.
Old bills, medical records, tax paperwork, bank statements, and other documents containing personal identifying information piling up are eligible. The event goes from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 at Avondale City Hall, 11465 W. Civic Center Drive.
A suggested charitable donation of $1 per box (banker size) of personal documents brought in will go toward supporting local services provided by the Valley of the Sun United Way.
