The city of Avondale has filled two assistant director positions for public works.
Harold Siguenza was promoted in February to Public Works assistant director and will lead the Field Operations Division, which includes solid waste and recycling, street maintenance, fleet maintenance, and public transit.
Siguenza previously held the position of Public Works deputy director where he oversaw field operations and developed the department budget, and assisted in redeveloping Avondale’s public transit program with the introduction of WeRide microtransit and with Avondale’s relationships with regional public transit partners.
