Scottsdale council members gathering not an open meeting violation, Arizona AG says

A photograph of four Scottsdale City Council members talking in an office before the council’s Jan. 7 meeting does not show a violation of the state’s open meetings law, according to Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes’ office.

The photo, snapped by resident Yvonne Cahill, shows City Council members Barry Graham, Jan Dubauskas, Kathy Littlefield and Vice Mayor Adam Kwasman talking together in an office before the meeting.

Cahill reported the incident but the attorney general’s office made a determination in three weekdays that the incident was not a violation.
