ASU supply chain expert: expect regular hiccups to global supply chain

The global supply chain seemed to just miss some turbulent waters.

On Thursday, the International Longshoremen’s Association announced it “is suspending its three-day strike until Jan. 15 to provide time to negotiate” a new contract, the Associated Press reported.

The U.S. ports from Maine to Texas had shuttered for several days this week as the union of roughtly 45,000 dockworkers hit the picket lines for the first time since 1977.
