Numbers steady for a second year

Arizona State University will not be raising tuition rates for current or incoming students amid the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, with Arizona’s two other state universities following suit.

ASU President Michael Crow announced the news in a recent public letter. This is the second consecutive year the university will forgo a tuition increase for both graduate and undergraduate students across its campuses. ASU currently costs $10,710 a year for in-state students and $28,800 for out-of-state students.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has endured for more than a year and will continue to require careful navigation for the remainder of 2021 and beyond,” wrote Mr. Crow. “This public health crisis has posed numerous challenges and opportunities for us all, and throughout, Arizona State University has risen to the occasion and demonstrated its commitment to be of service during these extraordinary times.”
