ASU opens 'store' at Junior Achievement’s BizTown in Tempe

The ASU Shop at JA BizTown in Tempe opened Wednesday with a goal of providing students with an opportunity to learn as they explore careers.

Junior Achievement’s BizTown, 636 W. Southern Ave. in Tempe, is a “hands-on program that introduces fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-graders to economic concepts, workplace skills and personal and business finances in a student-sized town built just for them,” according to a release announcing the ASU-JA partnership.

The store will highlight ways ASU supports students through career exploration, student engagement and academic success, according to the release.

During JA BizTown, students can visit with The Advisor, who will work with them to help explore career options and The Professor, who will ask trivia questions regarding the college process, at the ASU shop.
