ASU honored for sustainability efforts

University is carbon neutral

Arizona State University is more than just the nation’s most innovative institute for higher education. It’s also one of its most sustainable.

The Tempe-based university was recently awarded two separate honors for its environmental efforts, bringing its total number of sustainability accolades this year to four.

Last year, ASU achieved carbon neutrality within its buildings and stationary structures six years ahead of schedule. It was due to be reached by 2025.
