Dunn wants nondiscrimination ordinance for the city

Peoria Pine District Councilmember Denette Dunn wants a nondiscrimination ordinance for the city, but some don’t like it.

An LGBTQ+ inclusive nondiscrimination ordinance, which the city does not have, would fully protect LGBTQ+ families and individuals from discrimination in public accommodations, employment and housing in the city of Peoria.

Simply put, protecting people from discrimination is about treating others equally, Dunn said.
