Asian-owned business are thriving in the valley

Arizona has seen big growth in its Asian American population during the past 25 years, and with it have come a trove of locally owned businesses catering to the demographic.

May marks Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month, which highlights some of the local businesses in the region.

According to data published by the Pew Research Center, the Asian population in the U.S. grew 72 percent from 11.9 million in 2000 to an estimated 20.4 million in 2015, the fastest growth rate of any major racial or ethnic group for the period.
