Ashley Furniture is planning to expand to the southwest Valley by building a whopping 1 million-square foot warehouse in Avondale.
The development plan is moving forward with a vote by the city this year for the development of a new distribution, showroom and manufacturing facility in the West Valley, according to the city of Avondale.
Last Thursday, Avondale Mayor Kenn Weise said during the annual Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce meeting that Ashley Furniture will break ground “shortly” with the intention of creating an estimated 1,000 jobs for local residents.
