As state tops 100 weed dispensaries, Glendale has 6

Recreational sales first began statewide Jan. 22

Since adult-use marijuana retail sales became legal in late January, the Arizona Department of Health Services has issued 108 dispensary licenses, including six in Glendale.

Those are the latest numbers as of Feb. 9. Voters passed into law by a 60-40 margin back in November an initiative to legalize recreational marijuana, making Arizona one of 15 states, plus Washington D.C., to legalize the adult use of cannabis.
