Linda Yarbrough announced she will retire from the Chandler Cultural Foundation Board.

A board member since 2008, she “is a passionate music educator, arts leader and a classically trained pianist who has devoted herself to the betterment of Chandler's cultural scene,” according to a release.

Yarbrough has lived in Chandler since 2000 and is retiring from the board this month.

She became chair of the foundation’s fundraising committee after joining the board and instituted the Chandler Center for the Arts’ annual fundraiser, Center Stage.

During her tenure on the board, Chandler Center for the Arts “dramatically increased its contributed revenue resulting in substantially increased programs and performances at the arts center,” the release stated.

"We extend our deepest gratitude to Linda for her unwavering commitment, dedication and tireless efforts in advancing the arts and culture in our community," CCF board chair David Woodruff said.

"Her departure leaves a void that will be challenging to fill, but we are confident her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us."
