See works by Artists of the Superstitions members 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 17-18 and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 19 at the 2023 Spring Studio Tour.
This year’s tour will feature approximately 50 juried artists in 12 studios.
“This weekend-long free, self-guided tour is like our Fall Studio Tour, which has become an anticipated event for art lovers since it began in 2007. Our tours allow you to visit many of the artists’ home studios, which are all conveniently located in the foothills of the awesomely inspiring Superstition Mountains,” according to a release.
“The juried artists offer their creativity in clay, fabric, glass, gourds, jewelry, painting, photography, pottery, sculpture, wood, and much more. This gives you a wonderful time to just relax and spend the weekend in the Gold Canyon/Apache Junction area, driving roads less traveled, visiting studios, meeting with the artists, and watching them demonstrate their creativity. While visiting each studio, take some time to really see the art works these artists create, and you might find a special piece that speaks to you,” it states.
Maps are available from the Apache Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, 567 W. Apache Trail; the Gold Canyon Visitors Center at The Live It Well Place, 6607 S. Kings Ranch Road; at businesses around Gold Canyon and Apache Junction; and at the AOTS website, artistsofthesuperstitions.com. The map includes the addresses of each studio on the tour, the hours of that studio, the names of the artists, and each artist’s special medium.
