Art, technology collide at Scottsdale’s Canal Convergence

Community teamwork prepares 2021 event for Scottsdale Waterfront return

As part of the annual Canal Convergence event, Scottsdale Public Art has recruited local artists and worked with a variety of community partners to develop this year’s event, which highlights technology through a collection of art pieces.

Canal Convergence, which takes place at the Scottsdale Waterfront, is one of the city’s annual public art events that focuses on the themes of water, art and light by creating an outdoor exhibition around a central theme.

This year’s theme is technology, which according to Jennifer Gill, manager at Scottsdale Public Art, has been a concept that has been under development for quite some time.
