Art museum showcases contemporary works this fall in Mesa

The Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum is having an opening reception next month to celebrate its new exhibitions.
The opening will be 7-10 p.m. Oct. 7 at the museum, 1 E. Main St.
The fall exhibitions feature artists Shepard Fairey, Caledonia Curry (Swoon) and “Just Cause: The Power of Contemporary Art in Social Engagement,” a group exhibition of artistic activism.
The public opening reception includes musical entertainment by DJ This Just-In, light refreshments and a cash bar.
