Art leaders interested in Surprise Stadium pieces

Commission looking into sprucing up spring training home

Some members of the Surprise Arts and Cultural Advisory Commission want to mix public art with baseball.

Commissioners Kathie L. Morgan and Rhiannon Miett are spearheading an attempt to find ways to incorporate interesting art at the spring training destination in Surprise.

“I would really like to see us lead the Cactus League in terms of turning our Surprise Stadium from an art-free zone into ... art and public art,” Ms. Morgan said at the April commission meeting.
