Katey McPherson has pressed hard to see justice for Preston Lord. But as arrests continued to happen Thursday in the San Tan Valley teen’s homicide, the community advocate and education consultant from Queen Creek expressed one prevailing emotion: Sadness.
"It's just so sad for everyone involved — our town, the Lord family, the families of these boys who got arrested,” McPherson said. “It's just really sad.”
Queen Creek Police have made six arrests as of Wednesday night and Thursday morning in connection with Lord’s death Oct. 30, two days after he was beaten outside a party.
