Arizona’s water future relies on conserving sources

Half of Arizona’s water sources are reaching crisis levels as officials explore solutions to combat dwindling water supplies from the Colorado River.

One of the four sources of Arizona water is in bad shape after the latest announcement in August from U.S. officials to address the current drought conditions impacting the Colorado River and another could be threatened in the future.

Changes in water use are inevitable after the Southwest has experienced “significant drought conditions” during the past two decades, local and national officials say.
