It’s a dry heat, they say — and this season will be especially dry in Arizona, driving chances for wildfires across the state, experts warn.
Tiffany Davila, a spokeswoman for the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management, compared the coming fire season to what was encountered last year as she urged caution to prevent costly and, potentially, deadly blazes.
“This year, one of the biggest things as compared to last year is the drought condition the state is facing,” Ms. Davila told Daily Independent. “Last year at this time we really didn’t have much of a problem or concern with drought; this year, most of the state is in an exceptionally dry state.”
