Arizona troopers seize nearly 6,500 pounds of drugs over 3 months

State troopers in Arizona took 6,498 pounds of drugs out of circulation from Aug. 1 through Oct. 31, authorities said Wednesday.

The seizures included:

  • 837 pounds of fentanyl pills and powder.
  • 514 pounds of methamphetamine.
  • 33 pounds of heroin.
  • 231 pounds of cocaine.
  • 4,883 pounds of marijuana.

Some of the seizures involved assistance from federal, state and local law enforcement, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
