Arizona troopers arrest 86 impaired drivers over holidays

Eighty-six drivers were arrested for driving while impaired from Dec. 21 through Jan. 5, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Troopers contacted 16,768 drivers and issued 8,092 citations during the enforcement period, DPS officials stated Monday on Facebook.

The citations included violations that included speeding, distracted driving and failure to use a seat belt or restraint device.
