Arizona trooper spots ‘Seusspicious’ passenger traveling through Phoenix

An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper made a stop recently after seeing a grumpy green guy in a car driving along an Interstate 10 HOV lane in Phoenix, authorities said.

The trooper pulled over the vehicle during the morning rush hour at I-10 and Avondale Boulevard. The driver, according to DPS, was traveling in the lane with an inflatable Grinch in the passenger seat. No other passenger was in the car.

The driver may not get coal in his stocking on Christmas morning, but he received a ticket that day.

The driver may not get coal in his stocking on Christmas morning, but he received a ticket that day.

“While we appreciate the festive flair, this is illegal, and the driver received a citation for their HOV violation,” DPS officials said in a release.

“Before using the HOV lane, make sure you understand the law and restricted times. Don’t get caught with a Grinch!”

According to DPS, it will always look “Seusspicious” to any trooper.
