MESA — While the Canyon View girls track and field team didn’t have a large representation at the Arizona Open Track and Field Championships on May 15 and 16, the Jaguars still made their presence felt.
In fact, the Jags were one of the more impressive non-Division I teams on the Mesa Community College track.
Led by middle-distance runners and a few field-event invitees, the Jaguars placed second among 53 scoring teams with 52 points. North Canyon’s 56 points was tops, while Queen Creek was third at 46.
