Arizona has added 1,540 cases and 39 deaths of COVID-19 overnight, according to the state Department of Health Services.

As of the morning of Saturday, June 13, the ADHS reports 34,458 positive cases and 1,183 deaths of the new coronavirus.

A note at the top of the ADHS’ website states that due to increased traffic, they are currently experiencing technical issues with the COVID-19 data dashboards and are working to correct the issues.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. But for some — especially older adults and people with existing health problems — it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and death.

For Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s guidance on restaurants, barbers and cosmetologists, retail establishments, pools, gyms and fitness providers, spas, places of worship, and casinos, go to the Arizona Department of Health Services website.
