Cast members from Arizona Theatre Company’s upcoming “Scrooge! The Musical” will sing the National Anthem before the Arizona Cardinals’ Sunday home game in Glendale.
The show’s headliner, Shuler Hensley, along with four of the cast’s child actors who are all native Arizonans, will kick off the game.
Hensley most recently appeared on Broadway as Marcellus Washburn alongside Hugh Jackman in “The Music Man.” He previously won a Tony Award for portraying Jud Fry in “Oklahoma!”
Beni Bermudez, Max Morgan, Brooklyn Martin and Jacquelyn Fuchs – all of whom will appear in ATC’s “Scrooge!” in both Tempe and Tucson – will join Hensley for the National Anthem performance.
The game, against the Baltimore Ravens, starts at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 at State Farm Stadium.
Adapted from the Oscar-nominated film “Scrooge” comes a Christmas musical by Oscar-winning, Grammy-winning, and Tony-nominated composer Leslie Bricusse. “Scrooge! The Musical” is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”
The production will run in at Tempe Center for the Arts Dec. 9-30.
