Arizona support groups work to prevent suicide

2020 brought increased requests for help

In the last 18 months or so, Carol Miller said her Survivors of Suicide grief support groups have received a deluge of inquiries.

Miller, a licensed clinical social worker and bereavement coordinator for Casa de la Luz in Tucson, said requests for help have “blossomed tremendously” and it’s been harder to find local therapists or counselors to take on new clients when Miller needs a referral.
