Every day, Chris Hammer wakes up, says “hi” to his wife and kids, and goes for a run. When he finishes, he goes for a bike ride, then a swim, all before he needs to be at his job on the Arizona State University campus in Tempe.
Hammer is a three-time Paralympian with a limb difference as he was born without a left hand. He won a gold medal in triathlon at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
“My dream was just to finish on the podium; I never anticipated that I could win the gold,” he said about his win in Paris.
