A study this summer shows that visitors to the 28 Arizona state parks are up from a year ago, while two of the closest to Glendale are experiencing vastly different turnouts.
The Arizona Office of Tourism’s monthly state parks visitation report, with the most recent numbers through May, reveals that attendance all of the state parks is up 8.5% year-to-date compared to 2021 at every park from Alamo Lake to Yuma Territorial Prison.
Of the three state parks closest to Glendale, one has experienced the biggest decline in visitors of all parks, while another is showing the second biggest increase of all.
