Arizona school voucher program expands to $350M

What happens to Arizona’s education voucher program is a toss-up as it shoots past even optimistic efforts of how much it would cost the state annually.

The program, expanded last year to include all Arizona school children, allows parents to send their children to any school — public or private — and take their alloted education tax money with them.

The program gives students $7,000 each to leave public school and help pay for the tuition of a private of their choosing.
