Arizona restaurants must evolve to stay afloat amid turbulent economy

Some Valley chain restaurants of yesteryear aren’t the mainstays they once were, with some dining spots shuttering various locations.

That’s because some dining spots haven’t evolved enough to stay relevant, said Steve Chucri, president and CEO of the Arizona Restaurant Association.

In May, Red Lobster announced it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and has closed some Arizona locations and other Valley Red Lobsters could be on the chopping block.
