An Arizona resident is being monitored for hHantavirus after returning from the MV Hondius cruise ship where an outbreak occurred, the Arizona Department of Health said Thursday during a press conference.
The resident, whose name and location were being withheld by ADHS, is showing asymptomatic conditions after returning to Arizona, and the ADHS was notified on May 5, according to Dr. Joel Terriquez, the department's medical director of preparedness.
"The person was aboard the ship, but we have no proof of infection at this time," Terriquez said.
