Arizona ranks low among states when it comes to being a good place to raise a family in 2026.
The state ranked 39th out 50 in a new WalletHub report that looked at 50 measurments ranging from what families do for fun to the percentage of uninsured children and life expectancy to quality of public education, parental leave polices, median family income and more.
Arizona ranked high at No. 9 for family fun, and No. 28 for socieoeconomic factors. Where it did poorly was ranking No. 41 for health and safety and No. 48 for education and affordability, respectively, according to the study.
