The Arizona Department of Revenue has begun its annual public auction of unclaimed property items from abandoned safe deposit boxes.
“Items for sale include jewelry, coins, currency and a variety of collectible items that have not been claimed by their owners after many years,” department officials stated in a release.
The auction will take online only at www.sierraauction.com and continue until 5 p.m. March 3.
An in-person preview day is set for 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. March 1 at Sierra Auction Management, Inc., 4298 N. 35th Drive, Phoenix
ADOR will sell the contents of safe deposit boxes to the highest bidder. Proceeds from items sold from the auction are transferred to a custodial account where the funds will remain for the rightful owners to claim.
