The 2023 Muster and Celebration of Service will take place Sunday, Dec. 3, at Sloan Park, 2330 W. Rio Salado Parkway in Mesa.
“More than 3,800 citizen-soldiers and airmen will stand together in a patriotic muster to provide accountability of our military” to Gov. Katie Hobbs, Arizona National Guard commander in chief and citizens “while honoring the service and sacrifice of our military community,” according to a release.
The muster is a National Guard tradition dating back to 1636 when America's first colonial militia assembled in Salem, Mass.
Gates open at 8 a.m., marching onto the field begins at 10:30 with the official event beginning at 11 a.m.
