Arizona motorists can still turn right on red

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet, particularly when it comes to changes in Arizona traffic laws.

Rumors on the internet suggested there was a change to one of Arizona’s traffic laws that allows motorists to turn right on red at certain Valley intersections. The change supposedly happened on Jan. 1.

But those rumors are incorrect, according to a number of state agencies, including some local police department officials. Drivers still must obey “no turn on red” signs should they be posted at specific intersections.
