With plans of cohorting for a common cause, about 500 communications conveyors recently gathered to recognize fellow media colleagues at The Arizonan Media Association Future & Awards program.
Named among sponsors, the Independent Newsmedia was represented by several sales and editorial staff who attended the “first-of-its-kind” kickoff luncheon on Jan. 26, at the Scottsdale JW Marriott Camelback Inn Arizona Ball Room, with those from various print, broadcasting and digital media platforms.
The Arizona Media Association and Arizona Local News Foundation hosted the inaugural awards event, inducting some of the state’s media pillars and Hall of Fame honorees: Kit Atwell, Bruce Cooper, Al Macias, Terri Ouellette, and Floyd Simmons.
