Sinema hears Phoenix, Tempe manufacturers discuss recruiting, retaining workers

Senator says a shortage of manufacturing workers hinders Arizona industries

U.S. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema heard from leaders in the Arizona manufacturing industry Friday who voiced concerns regarding recruiting and retaining talent while hoping to stay competitive.

Six different companies from across the state were represented at a small roundtable discussion about the greatest needs of manufacturing officials.

Separate companies from Tempe, Tucson, Phoenix and Yuma were in attendance at the meeting held at Valley Forge and Bolt Manufacturing Co., near 43rd Avenue and Van Buren Street in Phoenix.
