Arizona man sentenced to prison for role in organized retail theft

An Arizona man was sentenced to 3.25 years in prison after pleading guilty to being involved in an organized retail theft and trafficking enterprise that hit businesses from Tucson to Phoenix.

Nicholas Miller pleaded guilty in February to two counts of fraudulent schemes and artifices and one count of illegally conducting an enterprise. He was sentenced later that month to prison as well as five years of probation and ordered to pay restitution of $75,000, according to a release from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

“We will not tolerate organized retail theft enterprises that steal from our businesses and communities,” said Attorney General Kris Mayes in the release. “My office will continue working with our law enforcement partners to identify, prosecute, and hold accountable those who profit from this kind of criminal activity.”
