Arizona legislators put finishing touches on state budget, Trump tax cuts included

PHOENIX - Arizona lawmakers approved the state's $18.3 billion spending plan late Thursday - but not without some grousing on both sides and at least one last-minute change.

Senate President Warren Petersen said the state has delivered on the Trump administration’s tax cuts, "and what that means is good news for the citizens of Arizona.''

Those cuts mirror what Congress approved last year in HR 1, the so-called "Big Beautiful Bill,'' which included a package of tax breaks for individuals and business.
