Arizona legislators poised to enact social media measures

PHOENIX — Arizona lawmakers are poised to enact a measure designed to regulate how national and international social media platforms operate in Arizona.

And politicians would get special treatment.

Senate Bill 1106 would put in state law that once people become candidates for any public office they cannot have their posting rights taken away — pretty much no matter what they say, truthful or otherwise. Only violations of federal Communications Decency Act would result in loss of privileges.
