The Arizona High School Hockey Association, in partnership with the Arizona Amateur Hockey Association, will hold the Division I High School Hockey State Championship and the inaugural AAHA Hall of Fame induction ceremony at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Mullett Arena.
The Hall of Fame ceremony introduces the first induction class in AAHA history. Honorees will be recognized for their contributions to the development and growth of hockey in Arizona. The ceremony will take place before the Division I state championship game.
This year's honorees include current Toronto Maple Leafs captain and USA Olympian, Auston Matthews, former Tucson Roadrunners player Zac Larraza, coaches Larry Gibson and Kurt Goar, builders Michael O’Hearn and Jim Rogers, official Herb Haley and the 2004-2005 VOSHA Mustangs 14U team.
