Eight nonprofits in Phoenix, Mesa and Chandler have received grants from Arizona Financial’s Local Causes Visa debit card program.
The program began in 2020 with the goal of supporting “hyper-local nonprofits” that are filling gaps in the community with a focus on education, community services, equality/social inclusion, children/youth and sustainability, according to a release.
“Building the Local Causes grant program and seeing the family of 80 nonprofits that have been supported to date is amazing, all thanks to our member-owners for trusting Arizona Financial and choosing this debit card,” Amy Hysell, president and CEO of Arizona Financial, said.
“Having the opportunity to present these grants in person for the first time, while hearing past recipients heartwarming stories was so fulfilling. We look forward to continuing to support local nonprofits through the Local Causes program in the years ahead,” Hysell said.
