The legal fight between city of Phoenix, Sky Harbor International Airport and Arizona Coyotes arena developer Bluebird Development is growing.
On April 5, Bluebird filed a claim with the city of Phoenix and Superior Court of Arizona following a complaint filed by Sky Harbor airport against the city of Tempe.
Bluebird’s notice of claim seeks $2.3 billion, equal to the entitlement value of the Tempe Entertainment District from the city of Phoenix. A litigation hold also was sent to the city instructing staff to preserve a variety of documents and communications related to the dispute between Phoenix and Tempe.
