Three Arizona members of Congress paid an unannounced visit Thursday night to an ICE facility in Mesa, with one of the Democrats saying “what we saw inside this facility was shocking.”
Democrats Greg Stanton, Yassamin Ansari, and Adelita Grijalva paid the surprise visit to the Arizona Removal Operations Coordination Center at Mesa Gateway Airport about 9:30 p.m. April 9.
“What we saw inside this facility was shocking," Stanton said. "People lying on the floor next to each other - side by side by side on a concrete floor."
