The Arizona Community Foundation announced Oct. 9 that Alicia Romero Rodriguez was appointed as organization’s Vice President of Marketing & Communications, effective Sept. 15.
In her role, Romero Rodriguez will join the Impact Team and report directly to Michelle Gayles, ACF’s chief impact officer, according to the release.
Romero Rodriguez served as vice president of integrated brand communications and cultural relevancy at The Estée Lauder Companies prior to joining ACF. Her expertise spans brand positioning, cultural storytelling, and inclusive marketing across Fortune 500 corporations and private equity brands, the release said.
“I'm a proud Arizona native and a product of what community nonprofits and public education can achieve,” Romero Rodriguez said in the release. “After two decades in marketing and communications for consumer brands, primarily at The Estée Lauder Companies, I'm honored to bring that expertise home.”
In her new role at ACF, Romero Rodriguez leads the marketing and communications team in aligning with ACF’s strategy, increasing brand awareness across the state to attract new donors, amplify the message of impact, and inspire strong partnerships.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alicia to our leadership team,” Gayles said in the release. “With deep expertise in brand management and a passion for building authentic connections, she brings a fresh perspective to how we share our story and engage our community.”
